Somebody videoed it, so here ‘tis:

The 1st To-Be-Annual Louisville Music Awards were handed out last night. Mayor Fischer opened the show with a few comments. The winners were:
Best live DJ Matt Anthony; Metal/Hardcore – Coliseum; Cover band of the year – Billy Goat Strut Revue; Singer-songwriter of the year – Cheyenne Mize; Hip-hop artist of the year – Jalin Roze

Engineer/producer of the year – Dave Chale, Deadbird Studios; Rockers of the year – Old Baby; Roots Award – 23 String Band; Song of the year – “The Blonde Leading the Blonde,” Wax Fang; Louisville Music Legacy Awards went to Jason Noble, Tim Krekel, Chilton Price and Static Major.

Perhaps only the Chilton Price Legacy Award was a surprise, as few Louisvillians are familiar with Price’s name, though many know her songs, primarily “Slow Poke” and “You Belong To Me,” which was a major hit for Jo Stafford. The two songs were also recorded by PeeWee King, who also deserves a Legacy Award.
