The churn factor in bands is particularly noticeable in the metal/heavy rock scene, which is the biggest (per number of bands) in the city. Kentucky Death Wish is calling it quits, as their drummer is interested in focusing on his gig with 16 Bones, David ‘Sailor’ Bryant’s most recent effort. Bryant has been a big source of ‘churn’ himself; his bands of late have included Surviving Thalia and 16 Bones, plus he’s been playing with other folks here and there.
