Nowadays, Britain sends over their latest hot artists on a regular basis; we return the favor. The latest, coming to the Mercury Ballroom on June 4, is one Zomboy, an electronic music producer and DJ whose genre-span includes dubstep, electro house, drum and bass, glitch hop, drumstep and Moombahcore (presumably Indian-derived). The strength of the DJ market is evidenced by the fact that his first release was in 2011 and since, he has climbed up the ladder of success, releasing a great many remixes and appearing with a batch of labelmates. His latest is The Outbreak, set for release in August. The current tour is essentially a promotion for that record. TC and Cookie Monsta will open. Tickets are $22.

Here’s a sneak peak video for “The Outbreak” tour:

Truth be told, I would never have expected to find electro-funk and fog at Shelby and Burnett, ever. I would be wrong: Monday nights at Club 21 are now MiniMAL Mondays, a night of electro and funk/house fusion. The DJs are Goast, Eliix, Red Hat, Count Grozny and Phlyp Syde. 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. Go dance and party.
