LMN’s News From The Pit columnist Eddy Metal was very dismissive about Aaron Lewis’s Aril 17 at the Mercury Ballroom, saying that all he does now is “whiny country s**t.” Such is the fate of a musician who changes genre as radically as Lewis has, going from the nu metal of Staind to a solo country career. His single “Country Boy,” (with help from George Jones and Charlie Daniels), was his biggest country hit, expressing his Republican political opinions as well as musical choices. Given that it’s billed as a solo show, expect the country side. Tickets are $30.
