Mat Herron at LEO has a a chat with Louisville garage rock band Lee Van Cleef about their newly recorded CD, Terror Blood. They’re playing at Zanzabar on Saturday. Herron also has a phoner with Baroness, opening for the Deftones at Expo 5 next Tuesday. This week’s issue also has several CD reviews, but no Louisville projects are included.

Over at the C-J, there’s a phoner with Al Jardine. I’m sure Jeffrey Lee just loves writing about faded boomer stars from the Sixties who weren’t all that famous to begin with.

Scrounging around Metromix, the source for content for Velocity (or is it the other way ‘round?), you can view one of their usual photo galleries of buxom young women mixed in with pictures of music stars playing at 4th Street Live!

Joe Lord has a phoner with These United States, playing Waterfront Wednesday tonight.

Finally, what is (likely) in Velocity this week is a brilliant, original article entitled “The 50 Hottest Men In Music.” Whoever thought up that idea?
